During September, the Minerva team delivered a training course for early stage researchers (ESRs) from ARGENT, an FP7 project exploring advanced radiotherapy cancer treatment through nano-processes and technologies.
Director of Minerva, Rhonda Smith and colleagues, Ed Barnes and Kate Viggers provided guidance on delivering impact through stakeholder engagement, understanding policy, media communications and public outreach, to help the ESRs communicate more effectively about their research and results.
The week-long residential course was packed with practical activities, from quick pitches and broadcast interviews to policy mapping and newsletter/web development.
Minerva also supported the ESRs in delivery of presentations to a local hospital and schools.
